We got awards, you got more chances to watch
Our short but mighty festival season has been off to a pretty terrific start. First off, we’d like to thank everyone who came to our screenings at both the Silver State Film Festival in Las Vegas on October 30 and the Valley Film Festival in North Hollywood on November 6. It was great to see both familiar and unfamiliar faces, but especially to hear the claps, cheers and laughter throughout the film. And, of course, to engage in conversation following each screening, as well as to meet other filmmakers and see some truly rad shorts and features!
As a bonus to all that, we’re excited to announce that at both festivals, Parkway of Broken Dreams walked away with awards: the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Silver State Film Festival, and the 10 Degrees Hotter Award for Documentary Feature at the Valley Film Festival. These wins were quite unexpected but super cool, and we really appreciate the audience members and jurors who helped bestow such accolades on our little film.
If you missed these screenings or have been waiting for a chance to watch Parkway of Broken Dreams from the comfort of your own home, we have good news: Our documentary will be screening from November 9 to 16 as an official selection of the Las Vegas International Film & Screenwriting Festival, which is being held entirely online for 2021. The festival is not restricted by location, which means anyone, anywhere with an internet connection (in theory) can stream our film during the screening window! Parkway will be showing as part of the “Las Vegas Spotlight” package that also includes the films Once Was Water and The Disparity, all of which is available to stream for only $10.
In addition, this virtual screening is eligible for audience awards! Once you watch the film, you’ll be able to cast your vote for Parkway of Broken Dreams. Will we score a hat trick with three back-to-back awards? Only YOU can decide!

I’m a former Las Vegan currently living in Seattle and I just learned about this documentary. I grew up hanging out on Maryland Parkway!! I missed the most recent virtual screening. Are there any plans to have another virtual screening anytime soon? There are actually a few of us Las Vegas expats that would love to see this!
Hey Leslie! There will certainly be online screening opportunities in the near future, but also we’re hoping to do an in-person screening in Seattle soon, as well. Stay tuned!
