You Get What You Give
Sorry not sorry for putting this earworm into your head:
So, it’s September, and we recently completed a quick footage-gathering trip to Las Vegas to help fill in some of the visual gaps we’ve discovered as editing has progressed on Parkway of Broken Dreams. We’ve also recently acquired more archival footage from the ever-supportive Geoff Carter, which is also helping close some of these gaps. But we’re hitting a wall in some areas, and that’s where you come in.
We’ve always had an ongoing list of footage/photography needs posted on our “Contribute” page, but now that we have an assembly edit of the film completed, we have a much better idea of exactly what additional archival material we need to finish the movie. So, it’s time to dig into your closets and bookshelves, crack open those photo albums and dust off those VHS tapes, and take a look to see if you have still or moving images of any of the following:

We know, that’s a pretty specific (and exhaustive) list, but if there’s thing we’ve learned as we’ve worked on this project, it’s that there’s more material out there that we just don’t know about–and we’re hoping that you or someone you know has some of it. So spread the word! And if you have any of the above you’re willing to contribute, drop us a line and let us know.
In the meantime, we’re steamrolling ahead to get a rough cut of this film complete in the next month or so, while also applying for more grants/funding (yep, we still need $$), and getting ready to apply for a few festivals/events. More on that soon!
